It was a pleasure to meet Fred and Simon yesterday and I know that the standard of play will be very high on both teams. Total now stands at 11 axis players and 7 allied now confirmed booked. First lesson learned, dont book a game when Josh is running training days :(

Nice to meet up with Jimbo and the other regulars there. What a really nice site and just on me doorstep! I'm looking forward to Jubilee, but need some serious Kit acquisition - just bought a pair of Ammo Boots today by chance. Any advice is appreciated (notwithstanding that Fred as usual has been helpful). Fred says theres a Denison going somewhere on here, but i can't find it. Also need gaiters and a sten or sterling (yeah thats gonna happen with my budget). I'd really like to go down the line of the KSLI (me dad and uncle's were in it) or failing that RAMC (well I am a nurse after all). BTW I have a pair of SOF DDR jackboots brand new if anyone needs them as i bought a size too big (I'm size 8).

I'm really looking forward to this game now. The scenario is being finalised as I type this and the first game, although I say it myself is a corker, something we've never tried at Worthing before (coz I only thought of it today ;) ) which I think should be amusing!
Clue: I'm having one of my back room boys build an ACME detonator, Wil E Coyote style
The night game should also interesting, although little to do with the plot, gives the Allied players a chance to asassinate a high ranking German officer, who could be hiding in one of three bases!
I picked up the beef for the Saturday night stew from a local butcher today, and best of all my Major Konig jacket arrived today so I'll have some suitable evening dress for socialising in :good:
Add to that I've got 100 glowsticks, 6 hour burn. Everybody will be issued them as hit indicators at night, so nobody overshoots hit players, and the safe zone perimiter will also be clearly identified :D

Yep looking forward to it. Been down to Sabre Sales yesterday to get some bits. As our teenaged american cousins would have it - OMG!!!! Really nice bunch and i think good deal to be had.

Just a thought though - Has anyone ever done an airsoft Operation Sealion?

Cheers

Simon

We looked at doing sealion when we looked at newhaven fort, however there is too much public access around the outside of the fort and the fort itself wanted too much money to hire the venue for the day, so we shelved it.

Sealion gives us a chance to have British partisans.
My friend has an original Sealion invasion map amongst the family hierlooms, mm get a repro and see were the attack points were set. Plenty over your neck of the woods Jimbo.

It would be great if we could hold Sealion down here on the south coast, so many of the CiA games are bloomin miles away oop north :(

Ha maybe not going to be inflicting that much nastiness, now that the AGM MP44's are about to flood the market. Those mid and hi cap Thompsons are no longer going to dominate the firefight. Wait for the flood of complaints about too much Axis firepower

Too much axis firepower - well nothing new there! Seems to be a real effort and a lot of cash to get anything like a Bren. Anyway I expect Fred would make use of his trusty Fairburn as an Aux Unit bod!

Yeah a Bren is expensive but then it becomes like my MG42, have a go at building one, or a look alike.

Build one?! Well I can probably do one out of LEGO, but thats as far as it goes with my technical abilities. Seriously though, are there any guides or 'how tos' about?
